This web site is operated by the Norfolk Hockey Association (NHA) This Privacy Statement outlines the way in which we gather and use information relating to you, the user of this website.

2. What personal information do we hold
We collect the following information from visitors to our website: information such as IP addresses and information relating to what pages have been viewed (e.g. using cookies as described further below) and information volunteered by you (e.g. via online or offline registration forms), such as contact details, email address and whether you have chosen to receive future communications from the Norfolk Hockey Umpiring Association (NHUA).

NHUA hold your; Name, DoB when given, gender, address, phone number, email, club affiliation, EH registration number and umpire grade.

3. How we use your personal information
We use the information we collect on the website to help us understand how the website is being used and to allow us to communicate with you. Such information will enable us to communicate with you on any matter relating to umpiring and hockey in general in Norfolk and the wider hockey world.

Level-1 umpires information is held in the NHUA Active Level-1 List. This identifies you as a currently active Level-1 Umpire and a paid-up member of the NHUA entitled to all the benefits of membership, including Public Liability Insurance while umpiring, coaching or assessing.

The list enables Hockey League administrators & secretaries to check that umpires are qualified and officiating at the appropriate level. It allows the Hockey Clubs to check the status of their club umpires. It allows you, the individual to check your umpiring status with a view to developing your umpiring skills. Finally, it enables NHUA to make appropriate umpiring appointments, provide coaching and assessments. We will communicate with you via post, phone & email NHUA news on umpiring matters including rules guidance and invitations to meetings and training workshops.

The Level-1 Active Umpires list as displayed on the website will NOT show your street address or DoB.

Your personal information will NOT the shared, sold or passed on to third parties, nor used for any form of marketing or services.

4. Security
All of our hosting and email services are managed and provided through a high security data centre, where physical access to any of our servers and computers is managed through strict policies and guidelines. Our infrastructure is also designed with security and privacy as a priority, so we insist on firewall protection to protect our servers and computers from hackers and attackers, including regular monitoring and applying of necessary security patches suggested to our software and operating systems.

5. Updating your information and opting out
If any of the information that you have provided to NHUA changes, for example, if you change your email address or name or if you wish to cancel your NHUA membership, please let us know the correct details by sending an email to webmaster@nhua.co.uk

Please note: You must be a paid-up member of a recognized County Umpiring Association to umpire in any of the East Leagues or Norfolk Women’s Leagues.

Our website may contain links to other websites which are outside our control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. If you access other sites using the links provided, the operators of these sites may collect information from you which will be used by them in accordance with their privacy policy, which may differ from ours.

If we change our Privacy Policy, we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times.
