Following the cancellation of the Sunday 6th October '19 AC due to water logged pitches. - If a session was cancelled  on this date then this has either been rescheduled to the 20th Oct. '19 or 10th Nov. '19 - (As a result of this all previous training times for the 20th Oct. '19 have been changed) - PLEASE CHECK your Player Profile Schedule Calendar

Festival and Final dates including venues  and timings will be added once they are confirmed. Training dates have also been added to the schedule in the Player Pathway - this can be accessed through your profile. Festival and Finals dates have not yet been confirmed by the East. All of the training sessions will take place at the UEA SportsPark. The training session dates and festivals have been put together according to the EHB Centralised Calendar. Space will be a little tight on the first date, when all squads will be attendance but will open up on the following dates. 

We had 282 players register and attend Development Centre summer sessions and those that have attended the minimum of two sessions and that were successfully assessed have been invited to attend the Academy Centre along with any returning PC players. (Invites were sent the weekend of 31st Aug. / 1st Sept.)

The Norfolk Development Centre - Summer Activity dates have been released and forwarded to Norfolk clubs and schools.
The Development Centre is the first step into the EHB Player Pathway - It is the gateway into the Norfolk Academy that starts again in September.
The Development Centre is open to birth years;
2008 - U12
2007 - U13
2006 - U14
2005 - U15
2004 - U16
2003 - U17



The Development Centre is a great opportunity to have a fun day playing hockey while picking up the latest skills in this exciting Olympic sport and experiencing EH Player Pathway coaching. The sessions are aimed at players aged 11-16 years old (birthdates 2008 – 2003.) Players are welcome to attend as many camps as they like but those wishing to be considered for the Norfolk Academy Centre (running from September) must attend a minimum of 2 Summer camps.

As from April 2019, you will see a change in the way the Norfolk Player Pathway is managed.  As the programme has grown, NHA will now manage it within two sections in order to continue to provide the best support for our players, parents/carers and coaches.  The managers of both sections will work closely together to ensure that the system offers the best experience for our players.
Glenn Moore (Norfolk Player Pathway Administrator) will take on the responsibility of managing the online system, payments and training/tournament information.
He will be the first point of contact for players, parents/carers and managers.

A great summer for Norfolk Hockey with over 360 places taken up at our expanded development, performance and goalkeeper camps for our young hockey players.
Game play and skills all based around EH's National Development Themes and a lot of fun.

Hockey Development

DC / AC 2017-18

Norfolk Hockey run Summer Development Centres (DCs) and Academy Centres (AC) for the U13 to U17 age groups. The journey starts with players attending summer DCs, players are then invited to complete an appliaction form for the Norfolk Academy.
